Inner Gate Acupuncture is excited to announce that Terry will be joining our practice!
Terry Atchley L.Ac. is native of New Orleans who graduated from Loyola University with a degree in Sociology. Terry initially discovered the benefits of acupuncture ten years ago when recovering from a sprained ankle.
After her ankle healed, Terry continued to explore the benefits of acupuncture, eventually moving to Portland, where she attended the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. She received a Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM). Though she enjoys treating a myriad of ailments, her focus is on musculoskeletal pain, women's health, anxiety and digestive issues. Terry uses a combination of acupuncture and bodywork to help the body return to a balanced and healthy state.
After graduating from OCOM, Terry traveled to Nepal as a volunteer practitioner for the Acupuncture Relief Project. The Acupuncture Relief Project is a non-profit organization that provides primary health care to remote regions of Nepal. This humbling experience provided the opportunity for Terry to treat a multitude of illnesses and to develop a deep connection with people through compassion and healing. She remains truly inspired by the resilience and generosity of the Nepali people.
Terry is an avid traveler who enjoys learning about different cultures and meeting new people. She is an outdoor enthusiast who loves planning new adventures and spending time with her family.
